As well as Super Bowl odds there are a variety of other NFL preseason odds on the board including probabilities to win the AFC and the NFC for 2010.
The Colts are the 3-1 faves in NFL preseason gambling at the online NFL guide to win the AFC while the Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints are each 5-1 to win the NFC.
NFL preseason odds list a few teams as significant Super Bowl contenders. Indianapolis, San Diego, New England, the Jets and Baltimore are the faves in the AFC. The Colts are preferred to win the AFC at 3-1 while the San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots are 5-1. The New york jets are 5.5 to 1 while the Baltimore Ravens are 6-1. There are a few squads that are given a chance to amaze in the AFC in 2010. The Miami Dolphins, Steelers are Cincinnati Bengals are all about 10-1 to win the AFC. Cincinnati, Tennessee and Denver are squads just outside those that have a chance. They’re in the 15-1 to 20-1 range. The Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders are the long shots.
The NFC is headed by the Dallas Cowboys and the reigning Super Bowl champ Saints who are both 5-1 in NFL preseason probabilities to secure the NFC. They’re followed closely by the Packers and Minnesota at 6-1. The dark horse candidates in the NFC are the the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers at 12-1, New York Giants at 20-1, the Bears and Washington redskins at 15-1, the Seattle Seahawks at 23-1 and the Cardinals and Carolina Panthers at 20-1. The longshots are the St louis rams and Buccaneers at 72-1 and the Detroit Lions at 75-1.
The Cowboys are the pick by many people in NFL preseason gambling to win the NFC but other than adding Dez Bryant in the draft, the team did not do much to progress in the off-season and they are still coached by Wade Phillips. The NFC has a lot more squads that may contend than the AFC. There are just 3 squads that you cannot realistically make a case for in the NFC as St Louis, Tampa Bay and Detroit don’t look very good but even the Lions shouldn’t totally be dismissed with all of the off-season improvements they’ve made.
